The Wiregrass Museum of Art is exhibiting Inspired by Nature: Ceramics by Lynette Hesser and Steve Loucks through June 23rd.

Lynette Hesser and Steve Loucks are one of the South's most celebrated husband and wife ceramicist teams.  Loucks sculpts and forms the work, while Hesser carves and embellishes the form with detailed shapes and floral designs.

Lynnette Hesser, a resident of Alabama since 1987, was awarded the Alabama State Council on the Arts Fellowship in Crafts for 2011. Hesser designs are derived from geometric patterns and floral images. Loucks, who received his MFA in 1985 from the New York College of Ceramics at Alfred University, plays upon traditional pottery forms which transcend function.

Inspired by Nature is organized by the Wiregrass Museum of Art. The exhibition will be held in the museum's Dove East Gallery.
