Dothan woman arrested on child abuse charges
On May 20, 2013 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest, following a recent investigation into a child abuse complaint made by the Department of Human Resources. Investigators say they were made aware of the complaint after a juvenile reported to school with injuries to the face and torso. Through questioning of the juvenile, it was determined the markings were left there as a result of abuse received from the mother, Camille Fields. Fields has been arrested and the case will now be handled by the Department of Human Resources.
Camille Dorit Fields, black female, 28 years of age, of Robindale Drive was arrested and charged with “Torture and Willful abuse of a child under 18 years of age by a responsible adult”. Her bond has been set at $50,000.
