Dothan Police arrest man for assault | Crime

On April 28, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded a firearm assault at Pockets Lounge, 2086 Montgomery Highway. Upon arrival, police learned the victim had been socializing at the establishment when he was shot. Investigators say two other patrons in the business had an altercation during which one pulled a gun and fired one round. The victim was not involved in any way in the altercation and was an innocent bystander that was hit by the round. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for a non life threatening bullet wound in his left calf. The suspect fled into a nearby wooded area where he hid until attempting to get into a vehicle to escape. During this attempt, the suspect was apprehended by police and has now been charged with assault.

Curtis Baker, black male, 28 years of age, of Virginia Drive was arrested and charged with Second Degree Assault with a $15,000 bond.
