Dothan Police arrest two for theft of property | Crime
On May 8, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a theft in progress at a local clothing retailer. The suspect’s fled from the scene before police arrived, however a vehicle description was broadcast for officers in the area. A short time later, an alert patrolman conducted an investigative traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. During the stop, police located and recovered a 55 inch flat screen television which the driver stated she had previously purchased from Wal-Mart. Police contacted loss prevention associates at Wal-Mart who said the item had not been purchased but had been stolen earlier that day by a male suspect of whom they had video. Investigators reviewed the video and confirmed the passenger in the stopped vehicle was in fact the suspect. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested for theft after police established their connection with the crime bringing this case to a close.
Willie Angelo Ray, black male, 27 years of age, of Bruce Street was arrested and charged with Second Degree Theft of Property with a $2,500 bond.
Khadija Critten, black female, 26 years of age, of Washington Street was arrested and charged with Second Degree Theft of Property with a $2,500 bond.
