Assault arrest made after woman was attacked with a garden hoe | Crime

On October 16, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to an assault at a residence located in the 200 block of Moates Street. Upon arrival, police learned the victim, an adult female, had been struck in the arm with a gardening hoe causing an injury that she had been taken to a local hospital for. Investigators met with the victim at the hospital where she told them she was sitting on the porch of the home when her attacker, Rita White, came onto the porch and attacked her. The victim was treated and released from the hospital; White was located and arrested bringing the case to a close.

• Rita White, black female, 57 years of age, of Moates Street was arrested and charged with Second Degree Assault with bond being set later today.
