Man charged with Criminal Tampering 2nd Degree | Crime
On the morning of July 26, 2013 the Dothan Police Department arrested Charles “Chuck” Law, charging him with Criminal Tampering 2nd Degree following a recent investigation into the removal and destruction of political signs in the area of Woodland Drive and Hartford Highway.
An investigation began after numerous complaints were received alleging signs in the District 4 area of Dothan were being removed from properties where they were legally placed. The Dothan Police Department began conducting surveillance in that area and a subject now identified as Charles Law was recorded on two occasion removing signs belonging to Commissioner Critt Snellgrove and candidate John Ferguson.
Video of the incident will be available in the lobby of the police department at 2 pm this afternoon.
Charles Johnston Law, white male, 75 years of age, of Saint Johns Drive was arrested and charged with second degree Criminal Tampering. A bond amount has been set at $500.00.
All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
