Dothan man held on $2 million bond for arson charge

DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - A Dothan man faces a hefty bond of $2 million after he was arrested for trying to burn down his home with his wife still inside.

Larry Kolounsz, 54 years-old of Parker Street, was arrested and charged on Monday with First Degree Arson.

On March 24, 2011, the Dothan Police Department responded to a fire at Kolounsz's residence. Upon arrival police talked to the tenant who told police she and her husband, Larry Kolounsz, had an altercation earlier that day and Kolounsz left.

The victim said Kolounsz returned while she was sleeping and started the fire in the home. The fire did cause some damage before it was put out.
