Two felony arrests for string of burglaries | Crime
The Dothan Police Department has made two felony arrests after investigating a series of burglaries. On February 11, 2011 a residential burglary occurred in the 600 block of North Pontiac Avenue. The burglar was interrupted by the home owner who gave police a description of the suspect and vehicle he fled in. As investigators were working on this case, a second burglary occurred on Brookridge Drive March 15, 2011. Once again, a homeowner was present and interrupted the burglary. The victim in this case described a different suspect but advised he fled in the same vehicle that was used in the previous burglary. On March 17, 2011, an alert patrolman saw the suspect vehicle occupied by two males. The two occupants detained were then identified by investigators as persons wanted in these cases. Investigators say additional charges may be brought against the suspects as the investigation continues. Police are asking anyone with information about any burglaries involving Thomas or Jackson to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.
