Dothan PD: Ozark woman arrested for gas theft

On July 15, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to an attempted gas drive off which was upgraded to a robbery after the clerk was struck by the fleeing vehicle. Investigators say the incident occurred at Murphy Oil USA, 4454 Montgomery Highway. According to the employee, she attempted to make contact with the driver but the vehicle fled and in the process the vehicles’ mirror struck the employee causing moderate injuries. Police say they have now identified and arrested the suspect, Leandra Young, bringing the case to a close.

  • Leandra Young, black female, 26 years of age, of Ozark, Alabama was arrested and charged with First Degree Robbery with a $10,000 bond.

Dothan PD: Woman wanted for theft

The Dothan Police Department is seeking the help of our local community in locating a woman wanted for felony theft. On June 19, 2012 officers responded to Denny Vision, 151 West Main Street, where they were given surveillance video of a woman concealing numerous pairs of glasses in her purse. The woman was confronted by an employee at which time she returned one pair of glasses then fled from the store while still in possession of numerous items. Investigators have now identified the suspect as Sonja Drake Drayton. Police are asking anyone with information about the case or location of the suspect to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.

  • Sonja Drake Drayton, black female, 47 years of age, of Richard Road is WANTED for Second Degree Theft of Property.

Dothan police identify suspect wanted for theft, seek identity of second suspect

On July 12, 2012 the Dothan Police Department released two photographs in hopes of identifying the people in the pictures. At that time, police stated an ongoing investigation revealed evidence that three suspects were believed to be working together to conduct felony theft crimes at local jewelers.

Police have made one arrest in the case and have now identified one of the additional suspects as Lisa Brittian. The third suspect pictured above has not yet been identified.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the case, the location of Lisa Brittian, or the identity of the third suspect to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.

Dothan PD: Two charged with drug trafficking

On July 13, 2012 the Dothan Police Department Vice Unit conducted a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of Southland Drive following an ongoing investigation. During the search of the residence, investigators seized a large amount of narcotics including approximately thirteen (13) ounces of cocaine, over two (2) ounces of crack cocaine, ecstasy pills, over three (3.1) grams of heroin, over six (6) ounces of marijuana and eleven (11) hydrocodine pills. Police arrested Damion Green and Denishia Blandenburg in conjunction with this investigation.

Dothan PD: Enterprise woman charged with theft from employer

On July 13, 2012 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest following an extensive investigation. Police say Amber Rogers-Erickson committed a series of fraudulent transaction between June 29 and July 3, 2012 by falsifying the purchase of jewelry and placing the dollar amount of the alleged sales on payment cards for personal gain. Investigators say the suspect used her position as an employee at a local gold buyer to commit the theft. Police say the case will remain open and further charges may be pending.

  • Amber Rogers-Erickson, white female, 27 years of age, of Enterprise, Alabama was arrested and charged with First Degree Theft and an additional count of Second Degree Theft with bonds totaling $30,000.

Dothan man arrested on multiple charges

Dothan man arrested on multiple charges

On July 14, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a breaking and entering of a vehicle. Upon arrival, police learned the victim’s purse and several credit cards were stolen during the incident. On July 16, 2012 police were investigating an unrelated case when they discovered the man they were speaking with was in possession of the stolen credit cards. Investigators responded to the scene and arrested the suspect, Cordaryl Berry. Police say the case will remain open and further charges may be pending.

Cordaryl Berry, black male, 24 years of age, of Pearl Street was arrested and charged with Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle and Illegal Possession or Fraudulent Use of a Credit or Debit Card with a $2,500 bond.
