Dothan police arrest two men on multiple charges

On March 22, 2013 the Dothan Police Department responded to the 100 block of Lakeside Drive in reference to a residential burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the occupant of the residence who advised them two unknown males entered the home through an unlocked door, and then left prior to their arrival. A description of the two subjects was broadcasted to the other responding officers when an alert patrolmen spotted a pick-up truck, occupied by two individuals matching the information given, in that area. A traffic stop of the vehicle was performed and the occupants were transported to police department for questioning.

Investigators now say the two subjects have been identified as Kenyon Deal and Braden Snell. Both were arrested and charged with second degree Burglary and third degree Theft of property bringing this incident to a close.

On March 22, 2013 the Dothan Police Department made a felony assault arrest after a patrolman was struck by a car while conducting an investigative stop. Investigators say officers made contact with LeeAndrea Doss in the 500 block of West Powell Street in reference to a narcotics transaction. As the officers attempted to stop Doss, she entered the driver’s side of a passenger car and began to drive off. At that moment one of the officers was struck by the vehicle and thrown to the ground. Doss was removed from the vehicle by the other officer and detained. LeeAndrea Doss was arrested and charged with first degree attempted Assault and Unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Dothan man arrested on robbery and firearms charges

On March 24, 2013 the Dothan Police Department responded to the 100 block of Baxley Street in reference to a robbery complaint. Investigators say Kamal Russaw held the victim at gun-point as he took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency from him. The victim contacted the Dothan Police Department and identified Russaw as the suspect. Russaw was taken into custody at his home where he was also found to be in possession of the firearm used during the crime bringing this incident to a close.

Kamal Tauheed Russaw, black male, 33 years of age, of Baxley Street was arrested and charged with first degree Robbery and Certain Persons Forbidden to Carry a Firearm with bonds totaling $55,000.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Dothan Police Department is seeking the help of our local community in locating Brandi Anne Hickman. Police are asking anyone with information on Hickman’s whereabouts to call the Dothan Police Department or Crime-Stoppers at 334-793-7000.

Brandi Anne Hickman, white female, 38 years of age, of Midland City, Alabama is WANTED for Fraudulent use of a credit card.

Dothan Police rule recent shooting a justifiable homicide

DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - Dothan Police have ruled the death of Colby Aguilar a justifiable homicide.

Aguilar's death was a result of a shooting stemming from the March 19th robbery of "Yo Way" clothing store in Dothan.

According to investigators, Aguilar went into the store, selected several items and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. The store's owner followed Aguilar outside the store and confronted him in an effort to recover the property.  Aguilar drew a gun on the owner as he was getting into his vehicle.
