Ms. Carolyn McCray is familiar with cardiac procedures, having had open heart surgery in 2000 by Dr. Ed Planz.  She had recently been experiencing mild chest discomfort and contacted her cardiologist Dr. David Gayle. She was admitted, underwent heart catheterization, and it was determined that Ms. McCray was not a candidate for repeat surgery and was at high risk for the coronary stenting that was required to improve her cardiac function.
