AUM Women's soccer ranked number 13 for third straight week | Schools

The NAIA released its fourth Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll earlier today, and the Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team remained entrenched at No. 13 despite another 2-0 week.

The beginning of Southern States Athletic Conference play did nothing to slow down AUM's momentum. The Warhawks won their two games by a combined 7-0, and have now outscored opponents 32-6 in a 7-0-1 start to 2012.

With Krista Hagen's goal on Saturday, 11 of the 17 players that have participated in a match (not including goaltenders) have scored at least one goal on the season.

While Margret Albertsdottir's seven-game goal streak to start the year concluded on Saturday, she did notch an assist to keep an eight-game point streak alive. Albertsdottir leads AUM with 19 points and 41 shots.

AUM received 372 points in the poll, a six point increase from last week. With four teams represented, the Southern States Athletic Conference remains tied with the Golden State Athletic Conference for most teams in the poll. All four SSAC teams are ranked in the top 13.

Concordia (Ore.) held on to the No. 1 spot despite not playing a match. The Cavaliers, who remain 6-0-2, received 591 points and 20 of the 21 first place votes.

Lee remained in second place after sweeping its opening two SSAC matches, including a victory over No. 5 Mobile. The Rams moved into the top 5 despite the loss, as Embry-Riddle dropped two spots to No. 6 after a 1-1 weekend.

Lindsey Wilson and Oklahoma City round out the rest of the top 5, coming in at third and fourth, respectively.

AUM returns to Montgomery this weekend for their first home matches since Sept. 2. The Warhawks host Brewton-Parker on Friday and Emmanuel College the following afternoon. Both matches start at 1 p.m.
