Huntingdon rallies to knock off 21st ranked Hampden Sydney

Quarterback Neal Posey found receiver Tyler Robinson for a touchdown in the final five minutes and the Huntingdon defense came through with a late stop as the Hawks came from behind to beat 21st-ranked Hampden-Sydney on Saturday.

It was the Hawks’ second straight win over the Tigers and the third win ever against a nationally ranked team. Huntingdon (3-1) picked up its first Top 25 win last season against Hampden-Sydney (2-1).

Trailing 17-14 with 6:27 to play, Huntingdon marched 65 yards in a little more than two minutes to take the lead. Trevor Manuel carried twice on the drive and gained 12 yards and Posey found Del Green twice, once for a 7-yard gain and once for an 8-yard gain, to set up the final two plays of the drive.

On first-and-10 at the Tiger 40-yard line, Posey ran for 10 yards. On the next play, Posey hit Robinson for a 30-yard touchdown with 4:16 left in the game.

Hampden-Sydney began its final drive on its own 17 with 4:08 to play.

'In Her Father's Eyes' exhibit coming to Troy University in October

'In Her Father's Eyes' exhibit coming to Troy University in October

Troy University will host an exhibit at the Dothan Campus starting in October that explores the life of one Jewish family in Europe on the eve of the Holocaust as part of TROY's Year of Holocaust Remembrance.

"In Her Father's Eyes: A Slovak Childhood in the Shadow of the Holocaust" examines the life of Kitty Weichherz, a 13 year-old Czechoslovakian girl whose family was deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1942. The exhibit consists of photographs and details about the family's life leading up to this event compiled from a daily diary kept by Kitty's father that remained safe with an aunt during the war.

The exhibit provides a powerful and poignant document of daily life in Europe on the eve of Hitler's Final Solution.

"In Her Father's Eyes" will be displayed inside the Library/Technology Building from Oct. 8 through Dec. 8.
