Photo Gallery | Hundreds of children attend 'Fishing with Angels'

DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - Instead of spending time in the classroom, children got to learn and splash in the great outdoors at the annual event, "Fishing with Angels."

The event started as a way for Joe Phillips to honor his granddaughter who had special needs. 12 years later more than 300 kids can now converge on the pond to fish.

The pond in Houston County has been stocked with more than 2,000 fish just for the occasion.
