Eight people arrested in theft investigation

Justin Edward Lomaneck

Justin Edward Lomaneck, white male, 18 years of age, of Ozark, Alabama was arrested and charged with FIVE counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle for with bonds totaling $25,000. These crimes were committed during the month of October (2012) in the following areas; 1500 block of Adrian Road, 1800 block of Adrian Road, 1600 block of Adrian Road, 1500 block of Adrian Road and 1800 block of Adrian Road.

Joshua Andrew Guy

• Joshua Andrew Guy, white male, 23 years of age, of Hiram, Georgia was arrested and charged with SEVEN counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle, TWO counts of Second Degree Burglary and TWO counts of Third Degree Burglary with bonds totaling $32,500. These crimes were committed during the months of September through October (2012) in the following areas; 200 block of Thistlewood Drive, Foxchase Drive, 100 block of Telford Place, 100 block of Frankfort Drive, Foxchase Drive, 100 block of Winthrop Court, Foxchase Drive, 100 block of Royal Orleans, 100 block of Wentworth Drive, Foxchase Drive and 2100 block of Stonebridge Drive.

Kendrick Corbitt

• Kendrick Corbitt, black male, 18 years of age, of Summit Street was arrested and charged with two counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card involving a card stolen during the commission of and Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle which was committed during the month of October (2012) in the 3400 block of Candlebrook Drive with bonds totaling $30,000.

Jerrold McLeod

• Jerrold McLeod, black male, 34 years of age, of Ozark, Alabama was arrested and charged with First Degree Robbery, TWO counts of Second Degree Assault, TWO counts of First Degree Kidnapping and ONE count of Third Degree Burglary with bonds totaling $1,150,000.

Cordelius Sol

• Cordelius Sol, black male, 20 years of age, of Inez Road was arrested and charged with First Degree Robbery, TWO counts of Second Degree Assault, TWO counts of First Degree Kidnapping and ONE count of Third Degree Burglary with bonds totaling $1,150,000.

DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - Dothan Police say they've linked 8 people and two different theft rings to at least 29 breaking and entering cases of both homes and vehicles in Dothan.

In a news conference today in Dothan, police announced the arrests of eight people, five men and three juveniles, who have been operating in two different "theft rings" since September.

Authorities say these groups were hitting vehicles and homes, taking whatever they could use to make a profit with along the way. But their downfall started when fighting broke out between the two groups and they turned against each other.

So far eight people, five men and three juveniles, have been charged with the crimes. While police cannot identify the juveniles due to their age, authorities did provide a list of adults charged in connection with the rash of break-ins.

Police say 18-year-old Justin Lomaneck is charged with five counts of breaking and entering of a vehicle, 23-year-old Joshua Guy is charged with seven counts of breaking and entering and four counts of burglary, 18-year-old Kendrick Corbitt is charged with fraudulent used of a credit card and breaking and entering, and 34-year-old Jerrold McLeod and 20-year-old Cordelius Sol are both charged with robbery, assault, kidnapping and burglary.

Police added that this investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
